Background
Within the framework of the Agreement on Scientific
and Technological Cooperation between the Governments
of India and Ukraine, the Department for Science and
Technology of Republic of India and the Ministry of
Ukraine for Education and Science (Responsible Agencies)
provide support for mutual visits by Indian and Ukrainian
experts for implementing joint R&D projects. The
Responsible Agencies will jointly finance the international
passage cost and the living expenses incurred during
the course of working visits to their colleagues.
After each visit and upon the conclusion of project
period, the Project Investigators will submit reports
on the scientific activities and achievements of their
joint undertaking.
Special committees constituted by the Responsible
Agencies will jointly consider all the projects received
within due date and with complete details and select
the projects for implementation on the basis of merit.
All areas of Science & Technology are open for
collaboration.
Evaluation Criteria
In evaluation of the projects, the degree of cooperation
between the Indian expert and his Ukrainian counterpart
will also be examined.An Indian-Ukrainian Joint Science&Technology
Committee will make the final selection of the project
to be funded within the framework of the agreement
between the two states.
About 30 projects will receive final support mutual
visits for a period of the three years.
