Background Information
The Inter Governmental S&T Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of India and the Argentine Republic was signed in 1985. the cooperation is being implemented through the Department of Science and Technology of the Indian Republic and the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation from the Argentine Republic. The first Programme of Cooperation (POC) between the two sides was signed on August 17th, 2004 for the period 2004-2006. The same POC will continue till a new POC is concluded by the two sides.
The areas chosen by the two sides for cooperation are:-

- Communication and Information Technologies
- Agriculture and associate technologies
- Start up enterprises ans Science Parks
- Science Popularization and communication
- Railroad Management

- Electronics
- Pharma chemistry
- Environment
- Nutrition
Modes of Cooperation:-
The modes of cooperation between the two sides are
- Joint R&D Projects.
- Joint Workshops/Seminars
- Exploratory Visits.
